I had another plastic grip for my Osmo Action and had to throw it away because it was of very poor quality. This one is remarkable for how well made it is. The bits are all metal except for the handle itself, which looks like real carbon fiber. It is very light and feels comfortable in the hand. The handle is very smooth so it might be slippery for you but I like how it feels in my hand. It comes with a different type of attachment, as well as a wrist strap. The strap can be detached so you can attach the tripod to the bottom. I really enjoy using it because I can carry it around and then place it on a table or on the floor for hands-free photography. I've used it while swimming (without a tripod) and it keeps my Osmo Action afloat, but barely. It is not very buoyant but will swim. I attach a floating strap that I have as a spare. It's not necessary, but it gives me some clarity and makes it more visible. My wife has an official GoPro and wants me to give her one. I agree this one is better.
