I was hoping to have the same experiences as in childhood. Tube socks were so named because they were woven in the shape of a straight tube with a closed toe. There was no cure. By wearing them, you deformed the area where you were treated. There's no sewn-in protection to prevent it from being stretched too far, sagging, or slipping underfoot. They were also made of soft, relatively dense cotton. They have a special healing area sewn in and the material is more like stockings or compression stockings. Also, they are too long. As an average sized guy, they're slightly above the knee for me. Sock whistles, even in childhood, were never above my knee. I can't wear this. Maybe a Halloween costume for my wife.
