Review on ๐Ÿน Enhance Your Pet's Habitat with Kaytee CritterTrail Fun-nels Value Pack #4 by Cathy Khan

Great for dwarf hamsters (and I hope they have strong claws)

Jump to review at 2nd paragraph - The photo I've attached to my review shows from top to bottom: Habitrail OVO tube, Crittertrail Straight 10 โ€, two connected Habitrail OVO arcs, two connected Crittertrail arcs. You can really see how much smaller these critter trails are - I recommend them for mice and dwarf hamsters. , the tubes are too small to be sure and I would recommend the Habitrail OVO instead. I'm disappointed that Kaytee is selling these tubes for Syrian hamsters because I think they have a good chance of getting stuck (even if it's a 'small'). The Syrians, if they stuff their cheek pouches and then try to go through the crittertrail elbow tube, I'm afraid it won't go well. Let's continue my review of these crittertrail tubes I have 4 such inexpensive packs of my 2 robotic dwarf hamsters I use them as fun little tunnel bridges between platforms in their litter cages and also as a way to climb those platforms. I use cable ties to secure them in place. My robotic hamsters love them, they have enough room to turn around in the tube - remember robots are the smallest of dwarf hamsters, only 2 inches long. Habitrail OVO tubes are for them, but they only have a few tiny ridges inside - my hamsters slid and slid and struggled to get up in the Habitrail OVO tubes at a 45 degree angle. The grip is good so the thick lugs on these crittertrail hoses are great for them in that regard. The big gripe with these hoses is the zip ties, they are not easy to remove at all. I broke two nails trying to pull out the hoses. That being said, I remembered having a retainer remover when I took my braces off (I had Essix retainers which are a bit like Invisilig aligners and they were so tight on my teeth that I needed this tool, to remove them). is a plastic tool. with a little hook on the end, like a hook that is SO helpful when taking those crittertrail tubes apart. If I didn't have this instrument I would probably hate these pipes. So I put a star on the link rings, I want them to more closely resemble the swivel and lock rings that the Habitrail tubes have. And what works even better is soaking the tubes in hot water (not boiling water - the water I used was hot but still hand-friendly) - the heat temporarily softens the connector rings a bit, making them much easier to tighten draw are on. separately.
