They often use Bluetooth (BT) to link to a phone and other devices, including those running various operating systems. Although I've seen complaints about occasional disconnections, I haven't experienced that issue with any of the five devices I've linked my copy with. The earcups are made of lightweight plastic but don't feel cheap and give off an air of quality (though their durability is unknown). Unlike many other plastic models in the budget range, the bow does not "oak" and does not push. There are no extraneous add-ons or questionable solutions, such as integrated swing-ons or other stuff, and the joystick interface is straightforward and easy to use (up/down for volume, right/left for track navigation, and press to pause). The fundamental advantage of this method is that it may be operated solely through touch, eliminating the necessity for identifying landmarks or taking off the ears. In a separate but related note, the battery appears to have very close specifications to the actual values. Although it has not been formally tested, it is feasible to attach a second wired headset to these headphones in order to share the sound with a second listener (perfect for when two people want to watch a movie or listen to music on a shared commute).
