This belt is a great choice for wearing with a dress or tunic under a jacket or cardigan. The elastic back is comfortable and super stretchy. I was skeptical when ordering because the size chart has a very broad range but it is accurate. If you are at the low end of a size you may want to size down because there is so much stretch. A large will probably fit sizes 14-24, but a 14 may have a better fit with a medium so that it isn't loose. The buckles and loops feel secure. I think it looks best when fastened on the third hole, but as you can see in the photo one side will overlap the other slightly. On the second hole, there is a small gap between the sides. There is so much stretch that I think any size within the range could comfortably wear this belt on the third hole so it looks as pictured. The material does definitely feel synthetic and it has a slight odor of latex balloons. Since this is an accessory that I will only wear occasionally, I did not want to invest in a more expensive leather version.
