When I retrieved this from the mailbox, one of the buttons was in the 'on' position, so the unit was working. There are literally 6 paragraphs on how to install it (which could take 2 sentences) and only the next one on how to charge it "and charge the NiMH battery". Do you turn everything "off" and set it to solar mode to charge? Or the other way around? Since solar and battery use the same light, it is difficult to know which mode, which directions and which directions it is in. But there are 6 paragraphs to install (which do not require instructions; 2 sentences maximum).
