Review on Hawkwell Little Boys' Outdoor Ankle Hiking Shoes by Josh Allred

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not intended for real hiking.

So-called hiking shoes are not designed for real hiking. The sole (bottom of the shoe) does not have a full layer of semi-rigid rubber, only on the edges (black part). The rest of the outsole is just exposed midsole material, which is a soft white foam that's likely to get damaged easily and won't last all that long on trails with sharp rocks, sticks, twigs, stickers, etc. The shoe looks decent. Quality for the price (low $20) and will likely be comfortable boots/trainers for general use. I am giving the boots 3/5 stars because they cannot be advertised as hiking boots due to an issue with the sole.
