Review on SONY MDR-Z1R WW2 Signature: Superior Sound Quality in Black (International Version) by Jhalak Tamrakar ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

When buying the main "competitor" to these Sonya was the 900th Fosteks. I had never listened to either of them before, so I listened to them for the first time. And by the way, it was more aimed at the much-lauded Fosteks. Well, what can I say. Purely TECHNICALLY Fosteks is better. Not so much but better. But I really didn't like their tonal balance. HF sawing is worse than in the old Beyers. It's too much for my taste. Sibilants all around. In the salon, Sonya seemed to me a little squeezed . and I doubted very much. But he took it anyway. Came home. And lo and behold . they play . no tightness . Maybe I have a newer copy . I don’t know. The fact that in the cabin for more than 3 years.

Pros
  • Very comfortable and reliable. The titanium alloy temples should last a long time. Pleasant, comfortable sound, with a level of detail on a par with classmates. The complete absence of sibilants, while the high frequencies are not wadded, and airiness is moderately present. Wide stage, for closed headphones. Excellent soundproofing. Those who talk about sound leakage are clearly confused or we are talking about different headphones.
Cons
  • It is difficult to talk about the shortcomings, because I bought headphones with careful listening on my own DAC. And he was, as they say, ready for them. I compared with Fostex th-900mk2 and chose Sony. Why? More on that below.
