The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

My good advice to you: read and watch the reviews, but make the final decision solely with your own ears. And it is highly desirable with your device (in my case it was Chord Hugo 2)

    Pros
    • Having seen enough reviewers, purposefully went to buy Audeze LCD-XC. For comparison, I listened to Dan Clark Audio ETHER C Flow 1.1 However, by a lucky chance, my eyes fell on the Sony MDR-Z1R, I asked the seller to give me a wiretap. I listened - and immediately "mine" both in sound and in landing on the head.
    Cons
    • I prefer Hi-Res and DSD, and from closed headphones I wanted an "honest" sound without coloring. But according to my subjective feelings, these headphones transmit with a somewhat "warm" color.

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Great headphones. Very detailed and at the same time very emotional and musical. One of the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. Some pros: Highest resolution, very wide stage, emotional sound, comfort. Different cons: The sound is a bit dark. There is a small corporate color. Both characteristics are for everybody.

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

To be honest, I have been listening to hard rock almost all my life, so bass has always been the main criterion for me. Ah, the last headphone for 15 years is the Sennheiser HD650. (There were others, but also Sennheiser and Sony). This explained my search for "meaty" headphones with oaky bass, which I spent a week on. I thought that from the first call I would easily make a choice. Wrong, and big. Perhaps, I listened to almost all more / less significant headphones, starting with Sennh…

    Pros
    • Really expensive, deep and spacious sound.
    Cons
    • Practically not significant.

Didn't quite buy it well, had a little trouble using it.

The conclusion is this: a cool product, but a wild overprice, obviously these ears are not for mere mortals (at least I heard a special difference between ears for 25k and 100k) For me, these ears are not worth the money, I would not buy myself, although they are very cool in appearance and comfortable to wear Its pros: Salam Aleikum guys, I was, then, recently on the new Arbat and I listened to these wonderful ears there. 1) The first thing that struck me was the ease of wearing. These ears…

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

The case is chic, the ears are inconspicuous, the sound is accurate, but there is a feeling that something is missing and you have been deceived. There are no frills and transcendence of sound - stupidly such as it is. At first it is discouraging - then an amateur. Pros: Reseeding from the usual studio ears of the Baers DT150, you understand that they are the same, only more drive, more sound, it is freer and not so tight. No holography, super stage, no super sound. The sound is as it should…

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

When buying the main "competitor" to these Sonya was the 900th Fosteks. I had never listened to either of them before, so I listened to them for the first time. And by the way, it was more aimed at the much-lauded Fosteks. Well, what can I say. Purely TECHNICALLY Fosteks is better. Not so much but better. But I really didn't like their tonal balance. HF sawing is worse than in the old Beyers. It's too much for my taste. Sibilants all around. In the salon, Sonya seemed to me a little squeezed…

    Pros
    • Very comfortable and reliable. The titanium alloy temples should last a long time. Pleasant, comfortable sound, with a level of detail on a par with classmates. The complete absence of sibilants, while the high frequencies are not wadded, and airiness is moderately present. Wide stage, for closed headphones. Excellent soundproofing. Those who talk about sound leakage are clearly confused or we are talking about different headphones.
    Cons
    • It is difficult to talk about the shortcomings, because I bought headphones with careful listening on my own DAC. And he was, as they say, ready for them. I compared with Fostex th-900mk2 and chose Sony. Why? More on that below.

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

After 10 years of using the Sennheiser HD 650 and various earbuds up to IE8, through the usual mini-jack in phones / computers, as well as good speakers with a receiver, I decided to take another step down the inclined plane of audiophile, since finances finally allowed. I wanted a portable music system of the highest quality for still reasonable money (vague criteria, I agree). I went to one well-known headphone store in narrow circles (a branch in St. Petersburg) and chose for a long time…

    Pros
    • * Comfortable, live sound. They know how to play in different ways, they convey the whole spectrum of sounds well, from deep bass to violins, cymbals, etc. And most importantly, they do it all very musically, without excessive dryness. Recently, I once again listened to 4 seasons at a fairly decent volume in order to better hear all the nuances. Where he usually turned down the sound, unable to endure the violins sawing the brain, this time he did not touch anything. Surprised. * The most comfortable over-ear headphones I have ever tried. There is no pressure anywhere, you can listen for many hours in a row, which I did in the first days. * Closed! Before that, I thought that such a sound, combined with wearing comfort, can only be achieved with open headphones, but at the same time everyone will hear what you are playing, and you will hear all the sounds around. The soundproofing in both directions is quite good. * Moderate resistance. In principle, they play well even from an iPhone through an adapter. Although in this case, plugs for 15-20tr play about the same. * Looks and feels very, very well made. 20 years should definitely last :) * Design. They do not look defiant, but stylish, and because of the shape of the bowls a little unusual. * Good comfortable wires included, especially balanced 4.4mm. *Perfect match with Walkman branded WM1A and WM1Z players and TA-ZH1ES amplifier both in terms of connectors and sound. To be honest, I was bribed by this consistency, where Sony engineers took care of creating a complete, balanced (including balanced wires) compact system for listening to hi-end class music (or something like that). This is smart from both an engineering and business point of view. I took the player and ears, now I'm seriously thinking about the amplifier :)
    Cons
    • * I realized that all the same, you won’t wear these to work every day. Now I will look for a similar level of "plug". Although even at home it is convenient to have such closed ears. * 3.5mm wire is too long for my taste. Although it is understandable why it was made that way. * despite the above about the iPhone, generally speaking, they need a good path to reveal all their advantages. And quality recordings in a good format. In short, these ears care what you listen to and how. Of course, they are trying for their part, but they are not engaged in frank improvement either. Therefore, after you listen to good hi-res in them through a good player with an amplifier, then it will be difficult to adapt to the usual compressed sound from the phone / computer's integrated sound card. This is the red pill.

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

I am writing a review too early (sorry, could not resist), less than a week in use, but the main thing I can say about the Z1R is that they know how to play music. I catch myself thinking that I've overheard, and I want to listen to them even the music that used to seem uninteresting to me, for example Pink Floyd. And I want to listen to my entire collection. If we evaluate them by the standards of the AudioDoctor FSQ test disk, then, in my opinion, everything is fine, but the detail and…

    Pros
    • The sound is luxurious, delicate, slightly veiled (someone writes - darkened), detailed - everything is heard (and everything is in full view), tireless during long listening, lukewarm, pleasant, atmospheric. Confident and monumental bass, and just the right amount of it. Quality workmanship, comfortable fit. Classic and stylish appearance (zenhi 820 - too spacey for me). Good. Unique - at the moment it is unlikely that much more than 7 or 8 thousand copies have been made. Not the highest resistance (64 ohms) and acceptable average sensitivity (100 dB). I would not say that they require warming up - for me, a normal sound immediately "out of the box", for several hours, for sure. I play from a portable Sony amplifier on a 4.4 mm balance output.
    Cons
    • They are positioned as closed, but they play outside at a volume even slightly below average - a neighbor one and a half meters from you will hear everything (you have to turn down the volume). Also, the headphones are positioned as portable, but for such a price - and there is not even a simple carrying bag. The case, of course, is chic, but everything in it is completely black - the walls of the case, the upholstery, the pouch for wires. Could have chosen more fun colors

Bottom line: stationary headphones for the home. Uncomfortable but fantastic sounding Pros: 1. Sound quality. Headphones give a deep and intelligible sound. Next to him are my MDR 1AB for 20 thousand just tweeters 2. Soundproofing. Although there is no noise cancellation, they isolate external sounds well. Its cons: 1. Wires. There are two of them in the set, both beautiful and uncomfortable: the usual 3.5 jack, but 3 (three) meters long. Inconvenient. And a short 1.2 meters with a 4.4mm jack…

Great all round headphones but may not suit people with big ears

Great all round headphones, a bit darker than I thought but I'll notice if you have a bigger than average ear like me, there is a significant chance that the outer contour of your ears will lightly touch the plastic mesh inside the headphones.

    Five stars on headphones

I was a bit disappointed when I connected them to my Sony WM1A. Then I decided to go through the process of burning in the headset. I let it run at high volume in balanced mode for about 30 hours. Not enough for a full burn, but now they sound a lot better. The sound is amazing, clear with enough bass and enough power to hurt your ears. I love this headset as much as I love my Shure 846. I bought the international version which is exactly the same as the US version but the warranty should go…

    Disappointing sound quality

I'm a big fan of Sony products. I have owned Sony XBR TVs for many years, as well as two other very good Sony headphones, a Sony NW-WM1A Walkman and a TA-ZH1ES headphone amplifier. So I expected to be happy with the Z1R. It received mixed professional reviews, including a critical review from InnerFidelity. It turns out that InnerFidelity's rating is spot on. The Z1R has far too much bass, although that didn't particularly bother me. What I couldn't accept was the high frequencies that made the

I'm a bit of a headphone freak and I own most of the quality headphones on the market, from Audeze LCD2 and LCD-X to T1 and Focal Utopias. These Sony's have a quality driver and sound pretty good for a closed can, but the sound is very sculptural with an emphasis on mid-bass. Sub-bass is limited and high frequencies are severely overpowered. They remind me of the LCD2, but even softer. The highs roll even more and are less dynamic and the bass is not as tight. They react to the equalizer on…

    Update on my Razer headphones

Great sound! I hear things I didn't know I could hear through my headphones. I use them for everything from gaming to listening to ASMR to watching YouTube videos, these bad boys make a nice sound and the subwoofers hurt my eyes. But that's a double-edged sword. You can easily hear manufacturing faults or imperfections in someone else's equipment, such as: B. YouTube videos where you can hear speaker mic hum or poor acoustics in the room they were recording in. In addition, you can recognize…

    Undisputed Sound Champion

If the HD800S is an Alpha, it's an Omega. Best closed-back headphones I've ever heard - and I've heard almost all of them. Note: This is not intended for mastering. These are the perfect headphones for listening. The mids are wide, full, forward and absolutely immersive. The highs are exactly where they should be. Brilliant but never tiring. Bass - They have a mid-bass and a sub-bass that are right where they should be without being boomy. Powerful, deep, captivating. The balance is a bit warm,

    • Doubtful

I've been listening to Sony Z1R headphones for the sixth week now. Each listen gets better and better and always starts with an involuntary laugh at how ridiculously good they sound to my ears. Kudos to Sony for their decision to end their R&D efforts on these headphones. One could enumerate the innovations that have gone into the design and construction, but the only attribute that really matters is how they sound to my discerning ears. In the last 3 years I have tried almost all audiophile…

I've had them for a few days now so I think I'm still burning them but I don't know if I believe it. I think the point is to let my brain adapt to the sound signature and just fall in love with it. On first listening, I wasn't impressed with anything other than the bass. My other headphones include the HD800, HD58X, HD650 and HE-400i. I'm used to a brighter sound signature and my 800s have a DuPont mod to tame them a bit because I'm quite sensitive to sibilance. I'm not afraid to apply a little
