Review on SONY MDR-Z1R WW2 Signature: Superior Sound Quality in Black (International Version) by Brian Healy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Five stars on headphones

I was a bit disappointed when I connected them to my Sony WM1A. Then I decided to go through the process of burning in the headset. I let it run at high volume in balanced mode for about 30 hours. Not enough for a full burn, but now they sound a lot better. The sound is amazing, clear with enough bass and enough power to hurt your ears. I love this headset as much as I love my Shure 846. I bought the international version which is exactly the same as the US version but the warranty should go through BuyWise if there are any issues. My wish list for the Z1R IIA. At this price, Sony should have included a Kimber cable. Lighter storage box. The box that comes with this headset is like a pile of bricks glued together. Definitely not suitable for travel.
