When trying to add more protein to my older cat, some kitten foods seem to have more protein than regular cat food. And since my two don't need to cut calories, I'm not thrilled with most senior products that seem to do so. I have two 17 year olds who are quite skinny despite seemingly healthy appetites. They usually like the taste of chicken, turkey, or fish (not salmon), so I went with this turkey and chicken liver patty hoping they would enjoy it. They swallowed it the first few times I offered it to them, then turned away from it in a typically feline manner a few times. They just do it and still will definitely buy it again knowing they will probably eat it (and then not eat it, lol). I love that I can buy 5.5 ounces of this kitten food as many are only 3 ounces. It's a smooth paste but not sticky. I can pour it out of a jar and they love the moisture. Some pies are very dry and they don't care about them like mush. Like I said, sometimes my two like it, sometimes they turn their noses up at it. I give them what they want, when they want it, and when they want it, it's easier to give them a whole 5.5 ounce can than 2 to 3 ounces. It would be easier if they could just go online and order whatever they want. Since they can't, I order different products and try to find out. This is a good brand with quality ingredients and will likely buy again.
