Review on ๐Ÿ”จ DEWALT D26960K High-Performance Display - Reinforced for Heavy-Duty Use by Daniel Oliver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

At the moment everything is good in the field of welding and soldering

I use hot air guns in my daily work. When I use them it turns on at full power and turns on for 4 seconds, then turns off for a minute, turns on again for 4 seconds, then turns off again for a minute, over and over again throughout the day . My friend has one and loves it. It is very convenient that you can see the temperature on the back of the device. It is adjustable in 50 degree increments. It's lightweight and works well. Even though I've only had it a month. Although there are a few things I would like. 1. Why is the tilt 50 degrees? Why not just build in a switch that allows you to easily raise and lower the temperature as you wish and simply see what the temperature is on the LCD. Battery powered. Dewalt has a wonderful battery powered tool set. I have many that I use. They have a battery sized high/low power heat gun but not this one. Why? What could be so different that you couldn't just swap out the power cord for a battery circuit and base. With them, the power cord is dangerous. I can't tell you the number of times I've sat the machine down only to twist the power cord, pull the machine backwards or up, and burn things that shouldn't have burned, including my hand. With a battery this is not a problem. You still have to be careful how and where you install it, but at least the power cord doesn't pull against you. Again, I love this device, but I would LOVE a Dewalt gun with a battery powered LCD display.

Pros
  • hot air guns
