I read that it can be used to keep pests out of your home. When it got cold, I killed a mouse and saw the droppings. I cleaned everything up and put another Tomcat under the building. I used peppermint essential oil in the afternoon when it arrived. I used a dripper and treated each window and part of the heating duct. Asian bugs also love southern exposure in the fall and I haven't seen one since using this essential oil. I put the dropper near one and it fell to the floor to get away from the oil. The problem with bugs and mice is now solved. In fact, I've caught a few Yellow Vests, which also like coming to my house because I live in the country. They weren't very active and I put them in a shot glass with a coaster to cover the glass. Call me a sadist but I put a few drops on a yellow jacket and it squirms and then dies within a minute or so. I also love the smell of peppermint and how it energizes me. I tried lavender and didn't like the smell. Before bed I use a steam bath with peppermint oil. I even added some body lotion and then applied it directly to my nostrils. I like the smell and don't feel stuffy when I wake up in the morning. I am very happy with this purchase.
