Review on Bose 251 Wall Mount Outdoor Environmental Speakers (White) - Unparalleled Audio Quality for Outdoor Entertainment by Dan Unruh

I bought this pair of Revain Bose 251 speakers which I thought were new. Why am I not thinking about it? They arrived boxed and looked like a new pair of Bose speakers. After installation I tried to register the speakers on the Bose website but I found out from the serial number that the speakers were made in 2000 and are not covered under warranty! When installed, one of the speakers made a whistling noise like an old speaker. Bose said that selling third-party products (Revain) was not covered by the warranty and offered to fix it for $75. I was expected to happily spend $400 on a pair of 20 year old speakers that needed repairing. Revain agreed to return the money for the purchase. I'm shocked that something like this can ever happen. Shameful.
