Review on Motherboard GIGABYTE B550 Gaming X V2 (rev. 1.0/1.1/1.2) by Adam Komosa ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well done, but I won't buy any more.

At first I thought that the problems with the PSU, such as 600W, do not take out the percent, 4 memory modules, 2 m2 of disk and video card, and well, coolers in the amount of 3 system and 1 processor. An external measurement indicates a consumption of less than 200 watts, for little, maybe 5 volts sags. I replaced the PSU with a 750W - but nothing has changed. You turn on the computer, after a few seconds it turns off and on again, while the settings are reset. But, this does not always happen, but in 4 out of 5 cases approximately. It is reproduced very simply: you put 2 memory modules in any slots - turn it on / off, everything is fine, at least 10 times in a row. You put another memory module again in any remaining slot - everything is fine again. The order in which the slots are filled does not matter, incl. if you follow the instructions. You put the last, fourth memory module in an empty slot - hello. Phantom BIOS/SETUP resets begin. The OS swears at the lack of virtualization support, tk. when resetting the settings, virtualization support is disabled by default. Addition: The issue was resolved by setting the memory multiplier manually, BIOS/SETUP resets disappeared. Some jamb with the definition of the memory multiplier.

Pros
  • Price, filling.
Cons
  • Works incorrectly with 4 memory modules. This is expressed in problems when turning on, then resetting the BIOS / SETUP to factory settings, which this same BIOS / SETUP successfully reports every time after turning on.
