Review on Pearl IZUMi Leader Spinning Black Sports & Fitness by Russ Montgomery

Everything you want in a shoe at this price point. orange bright and spectacular. fits good. I am happy with the purchase, ended up getting a size 43 and wear a size 9 in casual shoes. After owning it for about 4 months I've been riding and running about 250-350 miles a month just to get my bike out of the building and when I open my shoes at a red light in Brooklyn the cleats catch in the heels to fray a little. I don't find the level of wear unacceptable just yet, but will post if that becomes an issue. Apparently the heel spikes are interchangeable (if you remove the sole you can see two screws) but I haven't found a seller that sells them yet. but I didn't call Pearl Izumi either. WINTER UPDATE: I'm driving in New York/Massachusetts. the shoe has a total of three ventilation openings in the sole, which are great in summer but are problematic in the colder months. However, if you buy a neoprene boot that covers the vents in the sole of the shoe (I use the Castelli Diluvio 16) your feet will be fine. I have ridden in these boots in temperatures below 32 with no problems.
