This plugs into the auxiliary socket and I put it on the passenger seat. The cable is long enough to pass under the seat and easily routed to the back of the car. It's easy too. It has 4 speeds including automatic and is very quiet on all settings. The fan is quite audible at maximum speed, but is drowned out by the radio at normal volume. I don't use it every time I'm in the car, but I use it when I'm in the car for 30 minutes or more. It seems to do a very good job of removing the smell of fast food very quickly. The air purifier comes with a filter but I don't know how to get another one which is fine as I won't be using it often.
