Review on Silikang Vanity Make Up Strip Light with Dimmable Touch Control - 10ft Ultra Bright White LED for Makeup Table & Bathroom Mirror (ETL Listed, Mirror Not Included) by John Pineda

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great for base cabinets but not for a mirror

I have to admit I was horrified by these lamps for my mirror. While they might work well I've never tried them because of the OBVIOUS red line through the cord which was very unattractive to me. So why 4 stars? Well I've waited so long to open the box (while still trying to figure out which mirror and how I'll use it after moving) that it's time to return it. It's on me, so I didn't want to rate them at all. My husband then mentioned how he missed the light fixtures under the closets from our previous home. And bam, I had an idea. One that was lightweight and worked great for weeks. These lanterns were very useful and used constantly. I used glue that was developed for the lanterns themselves. I then used Alien Tape to secure the wires out of sight and attach the remote control to the edge of the cabinets next to the stove. My husband thinks I'm a genius, which is rare. He likes that they are dark when it's late at night. Now he uses these lamps more often than the top lamps, which he thinks are too bright. I bought 2 sets of lamps for either our very large host or 2 guest bathroom mirrors. On the other side of our kitchen, there are fewer cabinets. I have yet to decide if I'm going to use a second stand, and if so by doubling down and then trimming off the excess (since that's the option with these lights). I will update with any changes. Another thing to note: One thing that made this more perfect for us but might be an issue for others is our kitchen apron. This is a white/grey marble look. The plug is covered by a utensil holder, and the wire runs a short distance from the cabinet (which, thankfully, is all white just for that small section). With different colored baking spray this could probably be mitigated by using appropriate wire masking tape. I used black tape and other colors to mix up white wires on the walls in other places.
