difficulties with Google Fit; Negotiations with Hong Kong server

At first I had some issues with the Wi-Fi setup so I used a network analyzer and found that it was a firewall issue that was blocking the connection to the Server. When you weigh yourself, the scale connects to wifi.yolanda.hk via http three times. Although the connection is not encrypted, both the request and response payloads are long hexadecimal strings, so it's not clear how secure the data is. Speaking of WiFi, the product description emphasizes that this connection is only on the 2.4 GHz frequency. This is normal as 5GHz routers also support older frequencies. You just need to connect your phone to the same network. If both have the same ID and password, this is normal, otherwise you need to switch to 2.4GHz manually. The basic functions are good. Take it one step further and you'll get your weight accurate to the nearest 0.2 pounds. This is loaded into the app and automatically determines which person it is based on, whether the weight is close or not. If you only set up one user, the app will notify you if there are unassigned measurements and you can delete them, assign them or create a new user. What doesn't work for me is the integration with Google Fit. I set it up and it worked for the first measurement I took with Bluetooth, but it hasn't worked since I connected to WiFi. I'm very disappointed with this as I use Google Fit as my hub for all my health monitoring. The app wants to track all kinds of manual measurements, but once you switch it to weight, you can ignore it. The scale calculates BMI and body fat percentage, these numbers are only displayed on the scale when the measurement is correlated to a known user and the phone app is open. Otherwise only the weight is displayed. The overall design of the scale is good. They look stylish and modern. Just put it on and it will work.
