Works well with 24V without overheating.
This headlight says up to 32V and tests show that as the voltage changes from 12 to 24 the current drops accordingly, maintaining constant current draw and no overheating. Some other 30V lamps will seriously overheat if run on 24V for more than a few minutes. All of the LED headlights I've seen have cooling fins on the back, which might require some creative body modification when replacing traditional incandescent bulbs.
