The microphone, scissor arm, microphone isolator (hanging bracket), pop filter and cable are worth the price. The microphone is of good quality and picks up voices excellently. and with my limited testing tools too. It is kidney shaped. So if you point it towards your mouth, noise coming from the opposite direction will be reduced and your speech will be very clear. The "V8" sound card works great, but the documentation is sparse and you'll probably want to go online for more detailed instructions. It wasn't clear to me how to connect this to my laptop for recording. (At first I thought it wasn't working.) You won't want this charger during use because of the noise. It is very versatile with many inputs available. Before buying I didn't notice all the special built-in sounds that can be added, like applause, laughter, applause and a bunch of others. (12 total) There are a few more controls that I'm not sure about. It has controls for volume and echo, treble, bass, record, backing track and monitor. It has buttons for Reverb Delay, Voice Change, Elimination, Crack, MC and Voice Over. I bought this specifically for recording audio for audiobooks and YouTube videos through my laptop with Audacity, but it's also advertised as great for live podcasts and audio/video through your phone. This turned out to be the perfect solution for me. I hope this is for you too.
