I grew up on one of these swings. Start and go. I assembled and put the batteries in a week before our baby. It worked. Last night after spending 2 days with him at home I tried the swing and the batteries died. Brand new batteries. So I swapped them out today and everything worked again. I put a newborn in it and with all the different adjustments to balance him in it, he just hit the limited stop at the start of the rocking motion. It woke the sleeping baby to cry. Not sure what the purpose of being limited to such a small angle of rotation is, but I'm willing to take all the plastic off to find that limit switch and break it. It's just ridiculous to drain your batteries for a week when it won't turn on or work and wake a kid up because they're jumping in their own technique.
