I ordered a Bosch microwave from Best Buy to replace a built-in !@#$%^ GE Cafe microwave, parts for which (after only 6 years) were no longer available. It was supposed to be an easy replacement so I wanted to do it myself. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Bosch had supplied a power cord and plug designed for German sockets. This also surprised Best Buy. The cord could not be replaced which meant there had to be an outlet. Surprisingly, my local Lowe's and Home Depot stores didn't have what I needed - this item - and I wasn't planning on paying an electrician to fix something that shouldn't have been my problem. I ordered these items (had to get a box of these) and when they arrived the installation was very easy. I used to run on 110v. I left the rest and started replacing some other wall outlets with them. Plugs for the USA also fit. If a Bosch device shows up in your future, be prepared to order it.
