Review on HP W2338H 23-Inch Widescreen Monitor with Wide Screen and 60Hz Refresh Rate by Gil Kamae

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Stunning graphics, very innovative design

I would give it five stars but read below why I didn't. Great color, nice and bright display, well made. I traded in my dual 19 inch monitor and am very satisfied. Pros: Built-in speakers (if you don't need to listen to music at high volume) True high definition to free up desk space Power button and power indicator on top so you don't get bothered by twists and turns Cons: Only has vga and hdmi connections, no dvi only with vga cable, no hdmi (acer comes with all three) lousy 1 year guarantee I like it. The only comparable in size and value is the Acer Computer X233H BD 23" widescreen LCD monitor. It has a three year warranty and has VGA, HDMI and DVI connections Also comes with all 3 cables I don't have the two side by side compared If the graphics look this good on the Acer I will return this HP and go with the Acer as it has more ports for better customization, more cables so you don't have to waste money and a 3 year warranty I will update when i review it on acer and have more bang for your buck this is definitely a better monitor in terms of performance first of all acer has a flat picture less glare but the picture and hp graphics really come into their own. They're sharper and crisper than the Acer's I really like the placement of the power button on the HP because it's on the top instead of the front to distract you when you're using the monitor in low or low light I ha It's a very nice Logitech backlit keyboard, and when I'm typing with little to no light, there's no bright power light in front of me. I also think the Acer stand is really flimsy and while it looks nice it's not as feature rich as the HP where you can store your keyboard freeing up your desk when you need to use your desk. Other than that, I'm keeping my HP and not buying an Acer.

Pros
  • The curved design gives every office a modern touch.
Cons
  • No automatic
