On the job training

The quality of this part and the tools that come with it is very good. Excellent. The problem is the lack of instructions. It can be noted that you can find many instructions on YouTube. That's right. But which video is right for your iPad? We found three for the corresponding iPad version, but the specific version number is key. We damaged the connectors when removing the cracked screen. Basically, the videos we found gave instructions on how to peel off the top, bottom and right edges of the screen so the damaged screen could be folded to the left like a book. Well, my iPad needs to be flipped to the right, so we damaged the display connectors and, more importantly, the home button connector (replacement button kits don't support Touch ID). Why can't the seller provide instructions or at least point to a video that fits the kit? Instruction. First, make sure you buy a kit that comes with instructions to avoid the problems I had. The YouTube videos don't tell you what the model number is. They will say iPad 6 2018 but not the model number. To find your iPad model, look at the back in very small print. This is usually Axxxx (four digits). This will help you find the right kit. If you can find an instruction video on YouTube for this model, you will know how to repair the screen properly. I'm not sure I would trust the video unless it was about the exact repair kit I bought. Second lesson - find this video or don't buy a repair kit without a guide. Lesson Three: Don't Buy a Repair Kit Without Instructions!
