I have tried SO many thermometers over the years without much success. I decided to try them when my turtle became ill and it was important to me to maintain a stable, warm environment where it would have the best chance of healing. I've been using them in my setup for over 3 months now. (He's better now.) They're pretty accurate, averaging just 0.2 degrees apart. The display is big enough to see without glasses. I'll admit it would be nice if they were backlit, but for the price I'm certainly not complaining. Speaking of complaints, here's my only one: I can't get the suction cups to stay on the sides of its tank for a decent amount of time. They only float as far as their wires will allow. My poor 54 year old tortoise keeps thinking wires and sensors are food and keeps biting them. Not good. To be fair, I should point out that its build is made of Rubbermaid-style material, not glass. However, despite being attached to ceramic tiles, the suction cups do not hold the device to the wall. I had to attach them to the wall with double-sided tape on the back. But they are great in terms of accuracy and I will definitely buy them again.
