I've been looking for a wallet in this general style for a long time and I'm really happy with it. I wanted to find the smallest wallet to free up space in my bag for other things and it couldn't be smaller. There's a small trade-off: card withdrawals are still a bit slower than using a traditional wallet (and cash withdrawals are even slower), but I think it's worth it. The notches on both ends allow the cards to slide out easily, allowing the sides of the wallet to be squeezed and the cards to be easily separated from each other. Pulling a single card out of there still requires a bit of tugging and wiggling, but it's not hard after a little practice. The two plates are made of real carbon fiber and are very stiff. I don't think they will ever wear out or break. I've only been using it for a few days so can't say much about the durability of the straps but so far they seem to be of good quality. Even if you don't find it practical for everyday use, it would be great to have on hand when you need it - for example when you go out in clothes with annoyingly small pockets or when you want to stash your wallet and phone in a pocket , leaving the other free for concealed carry. I chose this one of a nearly identical wallet sold by Atziloose because it came with spare straps and because the branding is more subtle (engraved rather than painted). Another claims it blocks RFID, but I don't know how useful it will be if the chip is still visible through the notches on the ends on most credit cards. As another reviewer noted, it's really just 2 pieces of carbon and a strip. The shape and rigidity make it much more practical than just a rubber band that wraps around credit cards.
