I'm not a fan of buying specialty tools that are typically used once and then spending eternity somewhere in my garage waiting for the next use that never comes. This worked on my 1990 Chevy K2500 350 engine when I did a bit of direct valve work. It was tricky with the little compressor, but I added a 5 gallon portable tank and it helped a lot. Don't try to work on a valve without something like this or you'll soon find out how hard it is to get the valve back after it has fallen into the cylinder...I did it. Of course, moving the piston up in the cylinder you're working on also helps, but it's not as simple as maintaining pressure and hoping you don't pop the breaker because your little compressor is overheating. I knew I would never need it again, so I sold it along with a few other tools to make room for more specialized tools.
