Tea tree lasts months

Bought and an air purifier. I feel like it did a pretty good job removing the cigarette smell from a piece of furniture I bought, but I'm not sure yet because the tea tree smell is so overpowering. I doused it with this mixture the first day and then lightly sprayed the furniture daily for a month after purchase. It's been a few months now and the room still smells very strongly of tea tree. Hopefully there will be no cigarette smell when the tea tree smell dissipates.
