I have previously used a different brand USB extender connector which fits perfectly in the empty switch panel on my Toyota 4Runner. However, the USB connection was never solid and resulted in Android Auto and Car Play being disabled, not to mention it was obvious that the screen resolution was compromised. With this BATIGE extension cable, these problems are a thing of the past! The USB connection is very solid and the display resolution is back to its full glory. I think it has to do with the fact that it's USB 3.0. The only downside is that you may have to cut out an empty switch panel. Luckily I disassembled my previous USB extender and modified this mount instead.
