Reach for the sky or a shelf but be careful
It's needed to reach the tall shelves in the garage where I store things and it does a great job of that. It's taller than most plastic step stools so you can reach higher. I weigh about 170 pounds and feel pretty good because it supports my weight. But if I were about 200 years old (and it wasn't that long ago) I would be a little more concerned. It doesn't feel super strong because the tabs on the narrow side don't click securely into place when you unfold this stool. The top step locks so you can step on it evenly, but I recommend pressing the stool first before climbing on it with your full weight. It folds up for storage, which is good for saving space. . And it's very easy.
