I have had several previous generation Luvvitt iPhone cases and loved them. I've bragged about durability and protection for years and have caught the attention of several family members and friends. When I was looking for a case for my latest phone, I had to order the case twice in less than a month due to defective parts. The first had a chip embedded in the hard shell along the bottom half of the phone. I didn't drop it and didn't have an incident, but I just noticed that one day part of the case was gone. I thought it was an accident so I ordered a replacement. Within a week of using it, I noticed that the part of the tab that aligns with the hard shell over the volume buttons had ripped off. In both cases, this made the hard shell less reliable in relation to the soft part of the body. I have always relied on these cases to protect my phone, but if the case itself breaks on 2 different cases with no repercussions, what happens to my phone if it falls? I think Luvvitt is now losing a very loyal customer as I no longer believe in the product. It's very valuable when it works, but now I've been spending $44 a month on two cases that didn't work.
