It comes with two vacuum foam pads and a super soft case. My husband opened the vacuum foam pad to air it out, like all foam pads it has an odor. We took it out and left it in the sun for a day. The cover is machine washable, we use cold water wash and hand dry. The only complaint about the zipper is that it doesn't hide inside, it dangles freely, there's a chance for the kid to kick and scratch.
