Item arrived a day early (pleasant surprise). The starter was identical to the original. All I had to do was loosen the positive battery connector to rotate it to the same orientation as the original. There is a small notch that needs to be aligned to allow the positive battery cable to sit flat. I've read other reviews that say this needs to be done and it's important to do this prior to installation as the cable on my Honda doesn't have enough slack to work without aligning. As long as the starter is running I can't get enough of it. A Honda starter costs about $275-$300. This one cost $59. The quad only has 120 miles and about 80 hours since it's only used for clearing snow and hauling logs out of the woods, so I was surprised when the original died. The cause of death of the starter is that one of the magnets has come loose and jammed.
