I ordered these bags for a rather unconventional use as socks to filter lint out of the drain hose of my two tank washing machine. I use the drawstring to tie the bags to the hose and when they are full I untie them and throw them in the bin. They drain water well, but keep dog hair and lint out of the drain, preventing clogs. These little organza bags are only $6.99. per 100 pieces, so very inexpensive. (Filter filter socks are much more expensive and are not a tightly woven mesh material that absorbs much less). They are also great for selling jewelry or for carrying extra jewelry in your suitcase or purse.
