Inexpensive product with small flaws

This item was well packed in foam. Installation was pretty easy, you just take your Blue Yeti off the stand and attach the shock to the bottom where there is a large screw hole. What I really liked about this mount is that there is some foam/felt between the metal stud and the mic mount to avoid scratching the mic or mount. thread sizes. The thicker of the two is in front, closer to the top, while the thinner thread is deeper. I used the smaller of the two and it stretched without a problem. What I didn't like was that there were a few paint shavings, but they were small (<1mm long) and easily erasable with a marker. Compared to the official Blue Yeti Shock mount, which is twice the price, I really can't fault it. Pros: - Works as it should - Strong rubber bands - Pitch adjustment screw tightens securely - Aesthetically pleasing Cons: - Minor chipped paintwork (<1mm on all sides) - I used a marker to hide the bare (silver) metal that is visible was visible - due to the foam/felt mentioned in the summary, you can't fully tighten the screw that secures the mic, but I'd rather have no scratches than a fully tightened screw - in my experience it won't do, they don't fully tightening it less securely

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • I won't say anything
