I have an HP Envy 17 laptop and this screen protector only covers the lit part of the screen, not the black frame which is actually part of the screen. I'm sending it back because it's already difficult enough for me to put on a proper screen protector that I know I'll never be able to line it up perfectly with the part it's going to cover. Also, it would look weird, and there would still be a flare from the border that was almost an inch around the entire perimeter. In order to cover the entire screen, it must measure 18 1/2 inches diagonally, although the screen used is 17 inches. I hope I said it clearly because I read the reviews before ordering it and I didn't understand what some people were saying. My request for a refund was accepted without any problems.
