This chunky chunky knit is both charming and functional, especially for babies born during the winter months or for regions that experience the coldest weather year-round. I've used it both at home when baby takes naps during the day and in our stroller (it folds completely into a carrycot so no buckles are needed for small children). You couldn't use it in a traditional stroller or car seat, you couldn't buckle your baby securely. Also a great photo prop if you are a photographer or take your own photos. The buttons really work so you can undo the buttons for a small child or leave them buttoned for a taller child. The outside is a soft knit material, similar to a sweater, and the inside is a fluffy fleece, very soft.
