I bought these gloves to use with a mandolin knife. The thing works great, but it's razor sharp and can bite your finger off in no time. I was given gloves, took a sharp knife and tried to cut through the fabric (without my hand of course). The knife didn't even leave a mark, let alone cut it. I'm still very careful when using my mandolin, but I feel better with gloves on. There are two gloves in the set and I only wear one on my right hand when cutting. The gloves fit either hand, so I have a spare. They also go straight into the wash and I lay them out to dry. Great tranquility at a very affordable price. A good product.
