Okay so I'll start by saying before I buy this tree ( it's the first I've ever bought anything other than a 4 platform floor to ceiling pole.) I've been searching Revain for days, comparing, reading reviews and just looking for the 'perfect' tree for my furry kids. So I'll make it as useful as I've been looking for myself. For starters, my 2 cats weigh 12 and 14 pounds. One of them is "an accidental psychoanalysis of a tree," while others are more like a couch potato (although it has its moments, too). This tree is perfect for both. The tree is strong. It cannot be knocked over unless your cat weighs about 30 pounds. There's a slight hesitation as the cat flies towards her like a maniac, but that's to be expected. I placed four 7.5mm weights on the floor to the rear just to keep it absolutely still. I also rotated the bars so that most of the weight was on the center of the tree, reducing the stress on the bars when flying up. (Not necessarily, but like I said, my cats are maniacs.) One of the things I worried about the most when I searched the internet was that my big cat would fit in the crate and on the perches. No problem. He has a lot of space and sleeps in the apartment most of the time. It took me and my fiance about an hour to put the tree together but we were in no rush and of course the cats were in the way the entire time. The material is soft, almost lint-free, claws can easily grab it, and it looks good in the house. (I have an ivory color, very nice.) I was also concerned about the quality. I wanted it to continue. The wood is very well processed. I checked everything carefully, no problems. My cats use every part of it. If you have a cat that isn't too keen on climbing up with its claws, it's designed to use as a ladder to climb up. A day after setting it up, I tightened all the screws and struts and everything has been fine ever since. Everything was taken care of on arrival, box is intact but weighs 60lbs so some people might have issues with it. The whole process was and still is very pleasant. I hope this helps someone, this is what I wanted someone to write when I read hundreds of reviews :)
