Very nice and bright. Used as the main light source for YouTube style talking head videos I do for school projects. This annoyed me at first, but the 1/4"/20 thread was a pretty good feature as I could use existing ball head mounts to position the flashlight without having to buy adapters. It also means I can carry it with I can mount a quick release plate on my tripod and switch lights and cameras on a whim It won't be too technical but I'll put some numbers out if I remember them As a main light for my use, especially with supplemental lighting, can I shoot close-up to ISO 100. I've never needed an ISO above 200-400 for any lighting/lens configuration I've used, remember that at ISO 100 I'm shooting fast primes of 1.8-2.8 (per crop sensor, counting for full frame) but my f/4-5.6 zooms work fine at ISO 400 or lower I need ISO 800 but have never used it other than for testing I have with Selbs tportraits and was very happy with what I was able to do. avoid flash. Just be aware of the downsides associated with using steady light (not enough power compared to flash), especially LEDs (color issues), and work accordingly if you intend to use them as such. Note the nutrient requirements. At the time of purchase they had conflicting information on the product page itself as well as in the manufacturer's QA section. This resulted in me buying the wrong adapter (bought 8v when I need 12v). This is a seller and manufacturer issue, not the product itself. From what I have gathered there are two versions with different wattage requirements, so check with the seller before purchasing an adapter and double check the wattage the lamp itself.
