Great Heater! It was hard to form an opinion with all the conflicting reviews about wax heaters. Warming up took a little, maybe 2 hours. Yes, you have to lower the temperature after warming up and wait for it to cool down to put your hand on it, but if you follow this instruction you won't get burned. I used 2 pounds of Therabath wax instead of the wax that came with it. It was a lot! I bought this mainly for my husband's hands, he works so hard and has dry cracked hands. His hands felt so soft and fit his large hands effortlessly.
