Super shoes (upper) best for outerwear

Two test rides so far with boot covers and the same pair of medium weight wool socks. Ride 1 - 30s to 20s. Roasted by the end of the second driving lesson. Another sock or a little more toe wiggling and I would have been fine. Trip 2 - low 40's with wind to mid 30's and some foggy rain. Consistently warm and dry. In fact, if the temperature was a little higher, they would be too warm. These people make quality products. As I mainly work on the street I bought one of their boots for my street boots last year. They worked great in the cold Nebraska winter. I skate outside until my 20s. Knowing how happy I was with them, there was no question whose MTB shoe covers to buy to ride my CX bike on gravel this winter. I have shoe size 46 and size XL fits perfectly. The rubberized sock is rigid.
