Review on πŸš€ Streamlined Stability: Creality Complete Leveling Filament Carrying Solution by Badpuppy Warton

This is a must have kit!

I bought this kit for my Ender 3 Pro which I bought in late December. The ender ran flawlessly for at least a few hundred hours of typing. The only problem was the warped bed, so I ditched the magnetic bed and bought a Creality glass bed. I have already replaced the bed springs with heavier and possibly silicone springs. The printer works great, but I would still have to adjust the table alignment after every second print. I have decided to invest in BL Touch. In this review you will find the F1rst Layer kit. I wasn't planning on getting the full kit, but when I stumbled upon this kit and realized it cost about $60 more than the BL Touch kit, I was able to purchase a 4.2.7 silent board, a V2 -Get Display, BL Touch and Filament. Beat sensor, I thought it would be a better deal. Man was ever! First, it says it's plug and play, and yes, it really is plug and play! You will receive a kit and everything is packed very neatly and securely in the box. There are no obvious instructions, but you scan a QR code and it takes you to a website where you select a folder for your printer model. You enter this folder and the schematics to follow are colored and clearly labeled. First I installed the main circuit board, almost identical to the original circuit board. My kit came with a new motherboard fan, so I installed that too. I have a second printer, a Mingda Rock 3 Pro, so I used it to print the BL Touch Bracket for my Pro. I went with the adjustable one I found on Thingiverse. Note. Neither the BL-Touch bracket nor the thread outlet sensor bracket are included in the scope of delivery. You must do this. Then I installed BL Touch. Make sure the probe after installation is LOWER than the nozzle when extended and HIGHER than the nozzle when retracted. I have some of the same cloth sleeves used for the factory harnesses to give the whole setup a finished factory look. I then fabricated, printed and installed the filament sensor mount as well as the sensor itself. The installation is now complete except for the firmware. Now go back to the folder and get the appropriate firmware. Be sure to hover over each name to get the right one. It's easy to make a mistake. In my case I saw "Ender 3 Pro, 4.2.7 V2 BL Touch" and grabbed it. It wasn't the one, I should have used the one with the filament sensor at the end, but I missed it. I installed the firmware, the new display came to life, the printer was fine. I was happy. The camper worked, the BL touch worked but the glow sensor didn't. I checked the wiring again and it was fine. I went back to the description of the firmware on my SD card and saw that it doesn't have a filament sensor. I returned to the firmware page and folder and found the desired firmware file, same as above except it also has a glow sensor. I downloaded it and Wa La! the sensor worked perfectly. Note that if you have an older screen and receive this kit with a V2 screen, the menu structure will not be the same. I looked for the "Configuration" screen but it's not there. The way I adjusted the Z offset was to set the pressure, run the pressure and decrease the Z using the adjust function. Keep lowering the head until the thread sticks to the bed, then fine tune it. When you have it where you want it, save the setting and listen for the beep. The Silent Board is QUIET, I mean really quiet! To force BL Touch to do a table leveling before each print, go into your slicer settings and create a new line after G28 and put G29 in the start code. This is truly a plug and play kit, except for two brackets. It works as advertised and I am a VERY happy customer. A very high quality kit and the F1rst Layer is top notch.
