My child has been taking Wellness Core for many months and even though this product got 5 stars on dogfoodadvisor.com I could not figure out what was causing her itching and ear infections. The vet advised excluding chickens from their diet for a while. I read on an advice site to put a puppy on a chicken and grain free diet. I came across Wellness Simple which only has 4 stars but decided to give it a try anyway and am very happy with the results so far. I have noticed less itching and less paw licking without ear infections for a month. Simple has no chicken, the only difference I see is when compared to their main product. Switching to the Simple product was also very easy, as the types are very similar. Note: Her bowel movements have also improved.
