According to the description it has been made more powerful with louder sound and bass. It sounded clear and good but with your own settings but I have a Jolt 580 life jacket. Same numbers as on the Jolt 580 life jacket but the design is different than what I looked at after purchasing this new speaker. My old Jolt 580 life jacket was louder than this super model. 2/3 less. I still have a jerk 580. The battery is still good, I play max or 75%. For the price and reduced price, size and description I expected a lot more. They have made a name for themselves with reliable products but now I wouldn't waste my time or money on their brand. I'm sure the protection is still there and if you were to buy I would buy less. The fact that they use the same model number as my old life jacket doesn't make me trust them after trying them great. I'm researching more and my old life jacket is IP rated and loud enough even on the beach. I bought a w king t9. There is no IP but the sound quality and bass are amazing and better than Soundcore and JBL. 10x Not sure but for the money how good the t9 is I know its worth the money and better than the rest. I bought 2 t9s and synced them together. 4 4" subwoofers and 200 watts. Lol pretty much the same as the 12" subwoofer I have and I have a 200 watt amp. Lol. I need to get my SUV out, test it and shoot a video. I research everything I buy and usually make the right choice.I quickly switched to altec because I had one before but that was over 3 years ago and I still had the same speaker going.As I said when You are a long time customer you will know the difference with this brand. Hope. it will help you. Play! With something better.
