Update: I've been using this heater for 2 years now and am very happy with it. It keeps my coffee warm enough without boiling it. I wish the on/off button was pressed harder. I regularly find my heater turning on after I turn it off, probably because something just touched it. Original Rating: Doesn't get very hot on the highest settings, so I don't need cooler settings. I just sent back a heating pad that turned on when you put a cup on it because it didn't heat enough either. I leave this cheaper one and settle for warm coffee. I have a 20 year old Dazey Corp coffee warmer that you can buy on Ebay for $40 that still works great. It keeps my coffee so hot I have to balance the cup on the rim to keep it off the stove. There may be a safety factor that they stopped making them.
