Most Americans hate chin straps on their helmets, but in a fall from a height the helmet usually falls off first. If you hit the ground or fall off a swing, your head is still protected when using the chin strap. If the fall is from a very great height, at least a helmet will help identify the body and you may still be able to have an open-coffin burial. Hate me if you want, but I don't care. I worked with a student whose helmet fell off seven times in two hours. Half of all helmets are not worn properly and therefore offer less protection in the event of an accident. No amount of retraining works for the stubborn people that everyone knows. Yes, I have extensive experience in body restoration and accident recovery.
