AMAZING RANGE! on network adapters

what the heck with poor visibility guys? First let me say this is the BEST wireless USB adapter I have. In the last five months I have ordered three different types of wireless USB adapters (PREMIERTEK POWERLINK HERMES 11BGN USB 1W HI-POWER ADAPTER 2X9DBI ANTENNA, Etekcity High Power 802.11 B/N/G 300M USB Wireless 1000mw Wifi Network Adapter with Dual 6dBi Antenna and two additional 13 dBi antennas as well as Rosewill USB 2.0 wireless adapter with 5 dBi external antenna RNX-N180UBE) for my Macbook Air OS 10.8 and Macbook Retina 10.8. Out of the four wireless USB adapters, only Rosewill RNX-N180UBE and Rosewell RNX-N250UBE work fine on my OSX. Premietek and Etekcity didn't work very well on my OSX. I kept disconnecting from FREE public WiFi which is over 300ft from my location and both require 1000mw or 2000mw which is all junk to me now. A few months ago, Premiertek and Etecity didn't work on my Mac OSX 10.8 because there were no drivers for them. If Apple decides to move to the new OSX, good luck waiting for new drivers from Premiertek and Etecity within 4-5 months as both use the same wireless chipset just under a different brand. In my opinion, I prefer Rosewill's Realtek Wi-Fi chipset to Etecity and Premiertek's Ralink chipset. The Rosewill N180UBE also has an amazing range (150-200ft with no G-forces) but is not as powerful as the N250UBE. My Macbook Retina can get a Wi-Fi signal farther than the Rosewill N180UBE, which is pretty darn good, but not as good as the Rosewill N250UBE. I was planning to buy the BearExtender Mini Wifi USB and claimed it had a 1000mW chipset and was the only USB adapter that worked with Mac OS. After further research I found out that it has the same chipset as Premiertek and Etecity. Another thing that really shocked me was that it was $50 so it was out of the question. Stick to the REALTEK chipset and stay away from a cheap wireless USB adapter that claims 1000mw/2000mw. All rubbish marketing. I promise you won't regret the Rosewill N250UBE if wireless range and speed are important to you. If wireless range is your top priority then get a Rosewill N250UBE and two SMA 9dbi antennas and you'll be a very lucky man.

Great improvement over built-in adapter
