Disappointing experience

Actually I bought this motherboard 3 times. The first purchase was made from the Revain warehouse and the board arrived in near perfect condition. However, I could not get any video output even though the board powered on properly. I've tried everything including contacting Asus support (which was awful and wasted 90 minutes). So I sent the board back and bought a fresh factory version. Or so I thought. When I received the board it was pretty obvious that the box had been opened and the motherboard used (two memory slots were in "open" positions, along with the first GPU slot. hmmm.). I decided to try anyway. AND THERE IS NO VIDEO YET. Grrr. I finally made another replacement and bought the last new board. This one came 100% brand new (woohoo). but again, NO video. Wow. On a whim, I decided to swap out my HDMI cable for a different one. OMG it worked! Finally it worked! Why didn't my trusty HDMI work even though it worked with at least 6 other motherboards? I have no idea. To this day it works fine on another computer in the house. Stupid. I also wonder if the other two boards I returned would work with a different cable. Now that the motherboard is up and running I can say that overall it's pretty good. Like most people, I bought the board for the Thunderbolt ports. They worked fine for me as long as I had the Intel firmware installed from the Intel site. I had no problems with anything on the board. Until I connected the case fan. Only to find that the vertical piece of plastic that guides the fan connector was broken or not there at all. And of course that fan didn't work. Damn. The third motherboard was sent back. To another board.
